Implementation

A meeting of school parliament was conducted and the problem was made aware among the members. The chemicals were exposed to the students through the experiments done under the guidance of chemistry teachers in the lab.

   Approached the municipal chairman to depute a Food Inspector to create an awareness class among the guardians and students about the contaminated food items available in the market. Bit notices were circulated to create awareness among the public. Prepared posters and exhibited in school and they were taken out in a procession. A group of five members approached a pediatrician to know more about the health problems in school children. A questionnaire was prepared for the homemakers and circulated in different areas like Cherai, Kottuvallly, Perumpadanna and Town centre to the people of different economic status. A group containing 5 members visited the houses to collect the information. Another questionnaire was prepared for the children to get information. Our Headmistress conducted a demonstration class for preparing easy and healthy snacks. Many suggestions and tips to make shampoo, soaps, mosquito repellent were given to the parents who attended the meeting. The importance of bio diesel and organic products were discussed. We revisited to know their approach and attitude towards the hazards of food. Really happy to understand that all have realized the danger and have started taking precaution.
